At Great Location At Martinsburg Station

A Cultural and Recreational Paradise

West Virginia is renowned as the outdoor recreation capital of the East. The Mountain State offers world-famous whitewater rivers, challenging mountain bike terrain, an unsurpassed trail system, great skiing, fantastic hunting and fishing, and over 200,000 acres in 50 state parks and forests—and Martinsburg Station is close to all of these recreational activities.

The beautiful Shenandoah River is only 20 minutes away from your new home and offers boating, canoeing, tubing, fishing, and other water sports. Numerous local and state parks are within 30 minutes, including Oatesdale Park, War Memorial Park, Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, Antietam National Battlefield, Cacapon Resort State Park, Coolfont Resort, and the C & O Canal National Historic Park. At these parks, you and your family can enjoy swimming, fishing, camping, ice skating, hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, horseback riding, picnicking, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and white-water rafting. Those who prefer to relax can visit The Spa at Berkeley Springs State Park, just 30 minutes away, to sample their rejuvenating mineral water and indulge in Roman baths, steam and heat treatments, and massage.

Nearby, golfers of every skill level will find a wide array of public, private, and semi-private golf courses—many frequented by the PGA tour, including Stone Bridge Golf Course, Locust Hill Golf Course, the Woods Resort, and the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones course at Cacapon Resort Stat Park. Fitness and exercise clubs are within 10 minutes of your new home.

The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia boasts a wonderful network of mountain biking trails such as the Appalachian, Tuscarora, and the Ziler Loop Trails. Winter sport enthusiasts can ski or snowboard on the slopes at Snowshoe Mountain, Canaan Valley, or Timberline, 3 hours away in West Virginia; at Ski Roundtop, Ski Liberty, and Whitetail Mountain Resort, less than an hour away in Pennsylvania; or Wisp Resort at Deep Creek Lake, less than two hours away in Maryland.

West Virginia and Berkeley County offer a broad variety of recreational and cultural diversions. In Martinsburg, you can discover history at the Triple Brick Museum and Belle Boyd House, or visit the Boarman House for an art show or studio demonstration. Since 1913, the historic Apollo Civic Theatre has served as the center of culture for Martinsburg residents and visitors. It produces five major performances each year and also hosts a variety other entertainment programs.
